Hip Hop Colony
I will bear witness that I have watched this movie & I am a better person for it. It was great to see how the music industry in growing in Kenya, the movie itself is pure nostlagia, seeing the Ma-3's, city sights & sounds really takes you back. Great work by Michael bringing this culture into the light.

Home
Boyz
Home Boyz took some time off the wheels & did some great
updates to the original site. Things are much easier to access
& easier to navigate. The pictures are up this time. Great
work!!

Simba
Nation
Great music and powerful lyrics.
You can sample lots of music from years of music making. |
Jabali
Afrika
These jamaa's like showing off some skin (yeah I can say that
I am comfortable with my sexuality). I am sure the ladies love
that, however the also compose some rather interesting music and
they are quite talented. |
Sema
Sema won the Coca
Cola Popstar Competition & are making waves. Their 1st
album named Mwewe is out . The site is beautifully
put together, the trick being the navigation :: everything is
right where it's supposed to be. |
|
Milele
Milele.com is a very well designed flash site. It has links to
bio's, music, pictures as well as the band mission with the music
the produce. |
My
Music
If you love Kenyan music then look no further, this site has
quite a collection which you can buy. Get music from Ogopa DJ's,
Calif Records, Bongo Records and more. Support our artists. |
Kilio
Cha Haki
A huge collaboration project finally coming to fruition. Over
30 artists got together to come up with this unique sounding album.
Proceeds from the album sale go back to Eastlands to setup a studio
there. Check it out. |
Sila
Band
As long as I have been messing with web sites I can remember
listening to Victor Sila. He has been producing for a while and
I had a gander and he has some nice Afro funk music. Site has
schedules & news |
Sali
Oyugi
Already being hailed as Kenyan new musical ambassador. Great
site, simply inviting nothing threatening about it. The music
and pictures are definitely worth a look, there is a listing of
upcoming gigs to. |
Cloud
Tissa
I really like the feeling of space this site presents, gives
it a kind of relaxed feeling. The artist was born in UG but grew
up in various parts of Kenya. Site has a bio and pictures |

CMB Prezzo (Offline)
The site intro is pretty cool, watch the window roll down. The
has a bio, fan club and wallpapers. Apparently this jamaa is doing
quite well for himself on the Kenyan music scene. |
Ogopa Dj's (Offline)
I love flash, never quite mastered it but this site implements
it wonderfully (and makes me slightly jealous). The site is wonderful,
the design and the content comes together very well and the musical
background amazing. |
Hardstone (Offline)
Y'all already know about Hardstone. He set some sh*t off back
in the day and is still making quality music. Check out his site
for tours and updates |
